DTF Printing Clothing Manufacturer for Private Label Brands
DTF (direct-to-film) printing lets you put full-colour artwork on a garment, including gradients, photos and fine detail, without needing a separate screen for every colour. Fashion Flair is a DTF printing clothing manufacturer based in Sialkot, Pakistan, and we print DTF on hoodies, tees, sweatshirts, sportswear and jackets for private label brands. You deal with one contact and one timeline.
This page explains how DTF printing works, how it compares with screen printing and other methods, what designs suit it, and what to send us for a quote.

What Is DTF Printing?
In DTF printing, your design is printed onto a special film using CMYK colour inks and a white ink layer. An adhesive powder is added and melted onto the ink, and the film is then pressed onto the garment with heat and pressure. When the film is peeled away, the design stays on the fabric.
Because there are no screens, the number of colours does not change the setup. That makes DTF a strong choice for detailed artwork, small runs and brands that release many different designs. If your design is bold and simple, or you plan to reorder in large numbers, our screen printing service may cost less per piece.
DTF vs. Screen Printing vs. DTG vs. Sublimation
An honest DTF printing clothing manufacturer will tell you when another method suits your design better. Here is how they compare:
| Method | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| DTF | Full colour, photos, fine detail, small runs, many designs | A thin layer sits on top of the fabric; large solid areas feel less breathable |
| Screen printing | Bold designs, 1 to 6 colours, big repeat orders | Setup for every colour; less economical for small runs |
| DTG | Very small quantities on cotton | Slower and pricier at volume |
| Sublimation | All-over prints on polyester | Polyester only, and works best on light colours |
DTF cannot create raised effects. If you want a 3D look, see our puff printing service.
Design Tips From a DTF Printing Clothing Manufacturer
- Send a high-quality file. Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are best. A PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at print size also works. Low-resolution images look soft when printed.
- Use DTF for detail. Small text, thin lines, gradients and photos are where DTF is strongest.
- Be careful with large solid areas. A big block of DTF can feel heavier and less breathable than ink that soaks into the fabric. For large areas, we may suggest screen printing.
- Think about stretch. DTF stretches well, but it should not be pulled far beyond its limits. Placement on high-stretch areas needs testing.
- Check your colours. Screens and printers show colour differently. Send Pantone or colour references if a brand colour matters, and check the test print.
Garments and Placements We DTF Print
- Hoodies and sweatshirts (see Streetwear)
- T-shirts and long sleeves
- Sportswear and team wear (see Sportswear)
- Gym wear (see Gym Wear)
- Jackets, bags and accessories
Common placements are chest, back, sleeve, hem and small logo areas. We can print on garments we make for you or on blanks you supply. For a full brand build, see our private label clothing manufacturing service.
How Our DTF Printing Process Works
- Send your brief. Artwork, garment type, quantity and placements.
- Artwork check and mockup. We check resolution, size and colour settings, and send you a free mockup.
- Test print on your fabric. We press a sample on your actual garment so you can approve colour, size, placement and feel before bulk.
- Printing and powdering. Designs are printed on film, coated with adhesive powder and cured.
- Heat pressing. Each design is pressed onto the garment at the right temperature, pressure and time for the fabric.
- Quality control. See below.
- Labelling, packing and shipping. Neck labels, hang tags and branded packaging can be added at the same time. We send photos and videos during production and ship worldwide.
For the full picture of an order, read our manufacturing process and sample policy.
Our Quality Control
Quality control is what protects your brand when you hire a DTF printing clothing manufacturer. Every order goes through our three-level QC system. For DTF printing, the checks include:
- Colour accuracy against your approved sample
- Detail and edges, with no missing lines, gaps or blurred areas
- Placement and size, measured from a fixed point (collar, hem or seam) on every garment
- Adhesion check on sample pieces from the run, to confirm the print is fully bonded
- Final inspection for stains, peeling edges and fabric flaws before packing
Rejected pieces are removed, not shipped.
Caring for DTF Printed Garments
DTF prints last longer with gentle care. We recommend telling your customers to wash the garment inside out, avoid very high heat in the dryer, and never iron directly on the print. We can add this to the care label on your garments.
What Affects DTF Printing Cost
Every DTF printing clothing manufacturer prices a little differently. We quote per project, because the price depends on a few clear factors:
- Print size and number of placements, because larger designs use more film and ink
- Garment type and fabric
- Quantity, as setup and handling costs are spread across more pieces
- Number of different designs in the order
- Extra services such as labels, hang tags and custom packaging
Unlike screen printing, the number of colours in your design does not change the price. For more on pricing, see our price guide. We give a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprise charges.
Who We Work With as a DTF Printing Clothing Manufacturer
We work with clothing startups, established streetwear and activewear labels, sports teams and schools, and companies ordering branded apparel. Some customers order a first run to test a design. Others come back every season with new artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your MOQ as a DTF printing clothing manufacturer?
Our MOQ is 30 pieces per design. Because DTF does not need screens, it suits smaller runs well, and we can advise on the most economical quantity for your budget.
Is DTF better than screen printing?
It depends on your design. DTF is better for full-colour artwork, fine detail and small runs. Screen printing is usually better for bold designs with few colours and for large repeat orders. We will recommend the option that suits your project.
Will a DTF print crack, peel or fade?
A well-made DTF print on a suitable fabric should hold up through regular washing. Durability depends on the film, the adhesive powder and the heat press settings, so we test on your fabric first and check adhesion during production.
Can you DTF print on dark garments?
Yes. DTF uses a white ink layer under the colours, so designs stay bright on both light and dark fabrics.
Can you DTF print on polyester and sportswear fabrics?
Yes, in most cases. Heat-sensitive fabrics need care, so tell us the fabric and we will test before recommending DTF.
How does a DTF print feel?
A DTF print sits on the surface as a thin, flexible layer. It feels different from water-based or discharge prints that soak into the fabric. Small and medium designs feel light, while very large solid areas feel heavier.
What artwork files do you need?
Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) are ideal. A PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at print size also works. If you only have a sketch or a low-quality logo, our design team can redraw it for you.
Can I get a sample before bulk production?
Yes. We recommend a test print on your fabric so you can approve colour, size and placement. See our sample policy for details on cost and timing.
How long does production take?
It depends on the quantity and complexity of the work. Share your design or mockup and we will give you an exact turnaround, confirmed in writing before we start.
Can you add my labels, hang tags and packaging?
Yes. Woven or printed neck labels, hang tags and custom packaging can be added in the same order.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. As a DTF printing clothing manufacturer working with brands abroad, we ship worldwide and share shipping options and estimated delivery times before production begins.
