Custom Clothing Packaging for Private Label Brands

Your customer meets your packaging before they touch your garment. A clean printed bag, a sturdy box or a well-wrapped parcel tells them how much you care, and a torn or generic one tells them the opposite. Fashion Flair is a clothing manufacturer based in Sialkot, Pakistan. We supply custom clothing packaging for private label brands and pack it with the garments we manufacture for you, with one contact and one timeline.

This guide covers every packaging type we offer, how to choose eco-friendly options honestly, what rules affect poly bags, and what to send us for a quote.

Why Custom Clothing Packaging Matters

  • Protection. Garments travel across the world. Good packaging keeps them clean, dry and uncreased.
  • Brand perception. Packaging is part of the product. It sets expectations and justifies your price.
  • Unboxing and sharing. A memorable opening moment gets photographed and shared, which is free marketing.
  • Compliance and retail. Barcodes, SKU labels and safety warnings are often required by marketplaces and retailers.

Types of Custom Clothing Packaging We Offer

1. Self-Seal Poly Bags (Standard and Eco)

The standard way to protect individual garments from moisture, dust and transit damage. They can be printed with your logo, suffocation warning, SKU barcode and size information. For brands that want a greener option, we can supply bags made from PLA (a plant-based material) or other eco-friendly materials in place of standard polyethylene. See the honest guide to eco claims below.

2. Matte and Glossy Zip Lock Bags (Frosted Slider Bags)

Heavier, premium bags with a slider or press-seal zip, in a frosted matte or crystal-clear glossy finish. Customers can reuse them for travel or storage, which raises the perceived value of the garment. Best for: premium streetwear, activewear, hoodies and luxury T-shirts.

3. Custom Printed Kraft and Rigid Apparel Boxes

Folding cartons or rigid boxes with magnetic closures, made to hold a full outfit, such as a matching hoodie and joggers, or a seasonal collection. Options include custom printing, foil stamping, spot UV logos, tissue lining and inserts. Best for: flagship launches, influencer PR packages and gift sets.

4. Branded Kraft Mailers and Shipping Boxes

The outer packaging that carries your brand to your customer’s door. Choose corrugated boxes, kraft paper mailers or waterproof poly mailers with a tear strip and your logo printed outside. Best for: e-commerce orders and direct-to-consumer shipping.

5. Custom Tissue Paper and Internal Wrapping

Light, semi-transparent paper that wraps the garment inside a bag or box, closed with a custom sticker. It can carry a repeating logo or pattern, printed with eco-friendly inks such as soy-based ink, on white, black or dyed paper. Best for: premium unboxing.

6. Finishing Trims: Labels, Care Labels and Hang Tags

These are garment trims, not outer packaging, but they are packed with the clothing and shape how your brand is read. They include woven neck labels and size tags, care and content labels (required by law in many markets), and swing tags with pricing, barcodes and social media details, attached with pins, plastic fasteners or twine. For the full range, see our custom clothing labels and hang tags.

An Honest Guide to Eco-Friendly Packaging

Eco claims are easy to get wrong, and customers and regulators notice. Here is what to know before you print “biodegradable” on a bag.

  • PLA is compostable, not magic. It is made from plant sugars such as cornstarch and usually needs industrial composting to break down. It will not vanish in a landfill or at home.
  • Be careful with “oxo-biodegradable”. These plastics fragment into small pieces and are banned or restricted in several regions, including the EU. We recommend other options for brands selling there.
  • Use claims that can be proved. Terms like “compostable” are best backed by a standard such as EN 13432 or ASTM D6400. Vague words like “eco” or “green” can breach advertising and consumer rules in some countries.
  • Recycled and paper-based options often work better. Bags with recycled content, and paper mailers and tissue, are easy to explain and widely accepted.
  • Less can be more. Right-sized packaging that uses less material is often the most sustainable choice.

Tell us the markets you sell in, and we will suggest materials and wording that hold up. We supply what you specify, and we do not give legal advice.

Poly Bag Rules: Suffocation Warnings, Barcodes and Marketplaces

Plastic bags can be a suffocation risk for babies and young children, so many countries and marketplaces require a warning on bags above a certain size. The wording, size and placement rules vary by market. Marketplaces such as Amazon often also require scannable barcodes on bags. We print the warning text, barcodes and SKU information you provide, so check your market’s current rules and send us the final wording.

Design Tips for Custom Clothing Packaging

  • Size for the folded garment. A bag that is too tight splits seams and creases. One that is too loose looks cheap. Tell us the garment and fold size.
  • Choose thickness on purpose. Thin bags cost less. Heavier gauge feels premium and resists tearing in transit.
  • Keep your logo simple. One clear logo reads better than a busy pattern, especially on clear bags.
  • Plan the barcode and warning space. Leave a clean area so they print clearly and scan reliably.
  • Mind the shipping weight. Rigid boxes and thick materials add weight and volume. See our worldwide shipping page.
  • Match packaging to price point. A premium garment deserves premium packaging. A budget tee does not need a rigid box.

How Our Custom Packaging Process Works

  1. Send your brief. Garment type and fold size, packaging types, materials, artwork, text and quantity.
  2. Artwork check and mockup. We check sizes, text and barcodes, and send a free mockup.
  3. Proof approval. You approve the final artwork and wording before production.
  4. Sample. For boxes and special finishes, a sample is made so you can check fit, colour and feel.
  5. Production. Packaging is made to the approved design.
  6. Packing with your garments. Each garment is folded, bagged, wrapped and boxed as agreed, and packed by size ratio. See our custom sizing page.
  7. Quality control. See below.
  8. Shipping. Cartons are sealed and shipped worldwide.

For the full picture of an order, read our manufacturing process and sample policy.

Our Quality Control

Quality control is what protects your brand when you order custom clothing packaging. Every order goes through our three-level QC system. For packaging, the checks include:

  • Print and colour against your approved proof, with logos sharp and correctly placed
  • Size and fit, so the folded garment slides in without strain
  • Seals and zips, so self-seal strips grip and zippers close properly
  • Warnings and barcodes, which must be present, legible and correct
  • Box finish, with clean folds, straight edges and secure closures
  • Garment presentation, folded neatly, clean and free of loose threads

Rejected pieces are removed, not shipped.

What Affects Custom Clothing Packaging Cost

Every supplier of custom clothing packaging prices a little differently. We quote per project, because the price depends on a few clear factors:

  • Packaging type and material, since rigid boxes cost more than poly bags
  • Size and thickness
  • Print colours and finishes, such as foil stamping or spot UV
  • Eco materials, which can cost more than standard film
  • Custom sizes or shapes, which need new tooling
  • Quantity, as printing setup costs are spread across more pieces

For more on pricing, see our price guide. We give a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprise charges.

Who We Supply Custom Clothing Packaging For

We work with clothing startups, streetwear and activewear labels, sports teams and schools, and companies ordering branded apparel. Some customers start with printed poly bags and add boxes as they grow. For a full brand build, see our private label clothing manufacturing service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your minimum order for custom clothing packaging?

Packaging is made for the garments we manufacture for you, and our garment MOQ is 30 pieces per design. Packaging quantities depend on the type and printing, and we confirm them in your quote.

Can you print my logo on poly bags?

Yes. Bags can carry your logo, warning text, barcodes and size information. Send us your artwork and the wording you need.

Are your poly bags biodegradable?

We can supply PLA compostable bags and other eco options. Compostable and biodegradable are not the same, so we help you choose a material and make claims you can support.

Do poly bags need a suffocation warning?

In many markets, yes, particularly for larger bags. Rules differ by country and marketplace, so check your market and send us the final wording to print.

What is the difference between a self-seal bag and a zip lock bag?

A self-seal bag closes with an adhesive strip and is usually single-use. A zip lock or slider bag has a reusable zip, feels more premium and can be reused by customers.

Can you make boxes for sets, such as a hoodie and joggers?

Yes. Rigid and folding boxes can be sized to hold full outfits, with inserts and tissue if you want them.

Can you print on kraft paper and tissue?

Yes. We can print logos or patterns on kraft mailers and tissue paper, including with eco-friendly inks such as soy-based ink.

Will custom boxes increase shipping cost?

They can, because boxes add weight and volume. We help you choose a size that protects the garment without wasting space.

Can I get a sample before bulk production?

Yes. You approve a proof and, for boxes and special finishes, a sample. See our sample policy for details on cost and timing.

Can I send my own packaging or blank garments?

We pack only garments we make for your order. If you need to supply your own packaging, tell us when you request a quote and we will confirm what is possible.

How long does production take?

It depends on the packaging type and quantity. Share your design or mockup and we will give you an exact turnaround, confirmed in writing before we start.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. As a supplier of custom clothing packaging working with brands abroad, we ship worldwide and share shipping options and estimated delivery times before production begins.
