DTG Printing Clothing Manufacturer for Private Label Brands
Want soft, full-colour prints with every detail intact? That is what DTG does. A garment-grade inkjet printer prints your artwork straight onto the fabric, with no screens and no limit on colours. Fashion Flair is a DTG printing clothing manufacturer based in Sialkot, Pakistan. We use DTG on tees, hoodies and sweatshirts we manufacture for private label brands, with one contact and one timeline.
Here is how DTG works, where it beats other methods, and what to send us for a quote.

What Is DTG Printing?
DTG works like a desktop inkjet printer, but built for fabric. Water-based pigment inks are printed directly onto the garment and then heat-cured so they bond with the fibres. Because the ink soaks into the fabric instead of sitting on top, the print feels soft and light.
There are no screens, so the number of colours does not change the setup. That makes DTG a good fit for detailed artwork, test runs and brands that release many different designs in small quantities. For larger runs of bold designs, screen printing usually costs less per piece.
DTG vs. Screen Printing vs. DTF vs. Sublimation
An honest DTG printing clothing manufacturer will tell you when another method suits your design better. Here is how they compare:
| Method | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| DTG | Detailed full colour on cotton, soft feel, small runs | Slower and pricier at volume; not suited to polyester |
| DTF | Full colour on cotton, polyester and blends | A thin layer sits on top of the fabric |
| Screen printing | Bold designs, 1 to 6 colours, big repeat orders | Setup for every colour |
| Sublimation | All-over prints on polyester | Polyester only, best on light colours |
If your fabric is polyester or a performance blend, we will usually recommend DTF printing instead, because DTG ink does not bond well to synthetic fibres. If you want a raised, 3D effect, see our puff printing service.
Design Tips From a DTG Printing Clothing Manufacturer
- Send a high-quality file. Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are best. A PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at print size also works. Low-resolution images look soft when printed.
- Choose cotton. DTG gives its best colour and softest feel on 100% cotton or cotton-rich fabric.
- Expect dark garments to need extra steps. Dark fabrics need a pretreatment and a white ink layer under the colours. This is normal, but it adds cost and means colours can look slightly less vivid than on white.
- Check your colours. Screens and printers show colour differently. If a brand colour matters, send a reference and check the test print.
- Mind the print area. The printer has a maximum print size. Tell us the size you want and we will confirm it fits.
Garments and Placements We DTG Print
- T-shirts and long sleeves
- Hoodies and sweatshirts (see Streetwear)
- Cotton sportswear and casual team wear (see Sportswear)
- Tote bags and cotton accessories
Common placements are chest, back and large front prints. We print only on garments we manufacture for your order, so the fabric, fit and print are planned together. For a full brand build, see our private label clothing manufacturing service.
How Our DTG Printing Process Works
- Send your brief. Artwork, garment type, quantity and placements.
- Artwork check and mockup. We check resolution, size and colour settings, and send you a free mockup.
- Test print on the real fabric. We print a sample on the actual garment for your order so you can approve colour, size, placement and feel before bulk.
- Pretreatment where needed. Dark garments are pretreated so the ink bonds well and colours stay bright.
- Printing and curing. Designs are printed directly on the garment and heat-cured so the ink sets into the fibres.
- Quality control. See below.
- Labelling, packing and shipping. Neck labels, hang tags and branded packaging can be added at the same time. We send photos and videos during production and ship worldwide.
For the full picture of an order, read our manufacturing process and sample policy.
Our Quality Control
Quality control is what protects your brand when you hire a DTG printing clothing manufacturer. Every order goes through our three-level QC system. For DTG printing, the checks include:
- Colour accuracy against your approved sample
- Detail and sharpness, with no banding, missing lines or blurred areas
- Placement and size, measured from a fixed point (collar, hem or seam) on every garment
- Cure check on sample pieces from the run, to confirm the ink is fully set
- Final inspection for stains, pretreatment marks and fabric flaws before packing
Rejected pieces are removed, not shipped.
Caring for DTG Printed Garments
DTG prints last longer with gentle care. We recommend telling your customers to wash the garment inside out in cool or warm water, avoid very high heat in the dryer, and never iron directly on the print. We can add this to the care label on your garments.
What Affects DTG Printing Cost
Every DTG printing clothing manufacturer prices a little differently. We quote per project, because the price depends on a few clear factors:
- Print size and number of placements, because larger prints use more ink
- Garment colour, since dark garments need pretreatment and a white ink layer
- Garment type and fabric
- Quantity, because DTG cost per piece falls only slightly on larger runs
- Extra services such as labels, hang tags and custom packaging
Unlike screen printing, the number of colours in your design does not change the price. For more on pricing, see our price guide. We give a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprise charges.
Who We Work With as a DTG Printing Clothing Manufacturer
We work with clothing startups, established streetwear and casual wear labels, sports teams and schools, and companies ordering branded apparel. Some customers order a first run to test a design. Others come back every season with new artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your MOQ as a DTG printing clothing manufacturer?
Our MOQ is 30 pieces per design. Because DTG does not need screens, it suits smaller runs well, and we can advise on the most economical quantity for your budget.
Is DTG better than screen printing?
It depends on your design and quantity. DTG is better for detailed full-colour artwork, soft feel and small runs. Screen printing is usually better for bold designs with few colours and for large repeat orders. We will recommend the option that suits your project.
Can you DTG print on polyester?
We do not recommend it. DTG ink bonds best with cotton, and on polyester the print can fade or wash out. For polyester and sportswear fabrics we suggest DTF or sublimation.
Can you DTG print on dark garments?
Yes. Dark garments are pretreated and printed with a white ink layer under the colours. The result is good, but colours can look a little less vivid than on a white garment.
How does a DTG print feel?
The ink soaks into the fabric, so a DTG print feels soft and light, with little or no raised layer. This is one of the main reasons brands choose it for premium cotton pieces.
Will a DTG print fade or wash out?
A properly cured DTG print on cotton should hold up through regular washing. Fading usually comes from poor curing, the wrong fabric, or harsh washing. We test on your fabric first and check curing during production.
What artwork files do you need?
Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) are ideal. A PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at print size also works. If you only have a sketch or a low-quality logo, our design team can redraw it for you.
Can I send my own blank garments to be printed?
No. We are a manufacturer, so we print only on garments we make for your order. That lets us choose a fabric that suits the print method, test it first, and keep results consistent from the first piece to the last.
Can I get a sample before bulk production?
Yes. We recommend a test print on the real fabric so you can approve colour, size and placement. See our sample policy for details on cost and timing.
How long does production take?
It depends on the quantity and complexity of the work. Share your design or mockup and we will give you an exact turnaround, confirmed in writing before we start.
Can you add my labels, hang tags and packaging?
Yes. Woven or printed neck labels, hang tags and custom packaging can be added in the same order.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. As a DTG printing clothing manufacturer working with brands abroad, we ship worldwide and share shipping options and estimated delivery times before production begins.
